Upper East Siders adore Parlor Steak & Fish, and no wonder-inside the big, clubby space, there's an ample front bar area (boasting a robust selection of top-shelf Belgian and American beers); handsome, dark-stained wood flooring; and French doors leading to the street. Downstairs, you'll find a private cellar dining room with a working fireplace. Though this steakhouse recently changed their name to reflect the diversity of their menu, perfect cuts of dry-aged strips, filet mignon, and Berkshire pork chops continue to domina... read more

Put it at the top of the list – I've been to Parlor several times and I think it needs to be put at the top of the list for the Upper East Side. Great service, friendly staff, sleek layout and of course excellent food. I know that I'll be taken good care of when I go whether I'm with a large party or for an intimate dinner. I would highly recommend it.
Finally a great restaurant and chic vibe on the UES! – Recently had a 30th birthday dinner for my girlfriend at Parlor. Have lived on the UES for 5 years and have been waiting to have a local spot exciting enough to invite our "downtown-centric" friends up for a good time. And this place does not disappoint. Our party of 14 was sat downstairs at the perfect table next to the bar and basically had personal attention from 2 waiters the whole evening... The table started off with a raw bar plateau that was very fresh and delici... read more
AVOID THIS PLACE – Stay away from this Ruth Chris, Strip House wannabe. The service is poor and annoying, rushed feeling upon entry, overpriced wine, fatty steaks, you name it they got it. Good for steak novices (those who eat at Outback) but not those who know food. Value Poor Service Poor Food Poor Decor. Small portions, way overpriced.
Incredible food, even better service! – I recently ate at Parlor and had an incredible experience. My parents came in from out of town for the weekend and I wanted to take them to a nice restaurant. I asked some friends if they knew of any restaurants on the upper east side that had good seafood. I was told of a fairly new place called Parlor Steakhouse that had both seafood and steaks. My parents and I were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess who saw us to our table. It was a great table by the window. We started th... read more
Avoid Parlor Steakhouse! – Parlor Steakhouse is a major disappointment. We were served a plate of olive oil without bread and had to eventually ask for the bread. We went there for dinner last night and ordered the chicken dinners. The portions were very small, and not very good. The chicken came with a tablespoon of mashed potato and a tablespoon of sauteed mushrooms. There were no vegetables included in this very pricey and subpar dish. My husband had to order a side dish of spinach to complete the meal. The spinach was lo... read more
Great Brunch too! – I've been to Parlor a few times for dinner and have really liked it. The linguini pasta is a great appetizer and the shrimp cocktail were giant and really fresh. The steak is very good and we loved the Bearnaise sauce. We tried the restaurant for brunch one day because we didn't want to deal with the crowds and chaos of other upper east side restaurants and were pleasantly surprised that a steakhouse would have a great brunch. My wife had the fritata and I had eggs and bacon with potatoes and they were th... read more
steakhouse in Yorkville This is just what we needed in the neighborhood. A really good steakhouse. Though it is expensive, it is really worth it. From a perfect vodka martini to a delicious filet mignon. I totally enjoyed my dining experience
WANNA BE – MY HUSBAND AND I AND A GROUP OF FRIENDS DINED AT PARLOR THE OTHER NIGHT, WE SAT DOWNSTAIRS ON A CUTE COZY ROOM EXPECTING GOOD THINGS DUE TO RAVE THATS GOING ON ABOUT PARLOR. WELL, NO RAVE HERE WHATS SO EVER. THE SERVICE IS DINNER STYLE, THE STAFF SEEMS LIKE TGIF QUALITY CLUELESS AND SLOW. THE FOOD IS AVERAGE, THE SOUP IS KID PORTIONED, THE CHOP SALAD WAS WAY TO SALTY, AND THE NY STRIP THAT I HAD WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO STEAKHOUSE QUALITY. MY HUSBANDS FILET WAS TINY FOR $43 AND THE SIDES WERE MEDIOCRE, OVERALL THEY N... read more
Pricey for small portions with no "wow" factor – The main room can get a little loud when it's primetime, but the ambience is great. The second negative thing I have to say is that the portions are way too small. Appetizers are very tasty including the beet salad and sashimi, but you definitely need an entree, side dish and dessert to fill you up. It?s too pricey for the small portions, and with no "wow" factor.
