Terrible. Overpriced pub grub. – Terrible. Way over priced pub grub. I live across the street and want to like the place but every meal I've had is a big disappointment. Why this place is popular is a total mystery to me and to my neighbors.
Solid! – Live on the uppereast and is definitely a favorite spot of mine. I love eating at their bar. Oysters, sliders and steak are all so good. Brunch is a crazy fun atmosphere.
The best ever! – we bring all our friends here. The food is always perfect as are the drinks.The prices are average. The staff is so kind and we eat there at least 3-4 times a month.
Phenomenal Porterhouse – Was taken here for my birthday. We loved the crab cakes and the aioli sauce. We also got the porterhouse for two and it was amazing. The steak came with four sauces - bearnaise, horseradish, herbs and lime, and red wine reduction but to be honest, it was best with just a little salt and pepper - it didn't need any sauces at all. We got two sides - creamed spinach and whipped potatoes, and the creamed spinach was better.
Staff problems??? – as a local to the upper east side, i wanted to try parlor for the longest time. I always passed this place on the way to work, and it looked decent so i decided to try it. Yummy and Fun – Awesome, awesome, awesome. Went to Parlor with two of my guy friends and had dinner at the bar. First of all they have dollar oysters late night, so we housed about two dozens of those and then the boys wanted to get the dry aged strip for two and I got the petit filet. NO THANK YOU – I eat out a lot but this place is really underwhelming. Food is ok, but service lacks pretty much everything. Managers either hover or are nowhere to be seen. I had a rib eye that was good but all in all my boyfriend and I felt that there was too much food for 2 people and also, the prices are so crazy that it's hard to justify not eating everything. Nothing to write home about.
NOT WORTH YOUR TRIP! – Wow.....what a total disappointment!!! We've been to Parlor once previously on a special occasion and were totally and thoroughly impressed. Naturally, we expected a similar experience.....but unfortunately, that was not to be. On a Saturday evening at 9PM, we'd expect the service and food to be tip top.
