champage taste on a beer budget – had a wonderful time here with my boyfriend - we stayed for a weekend. everything was clean and extremely nice. the staff was exceptionally friendly and very professional. marble bathrooms - nice linens and bedding - the overall ambiance of this hotel took me by surprise b/c we did not pay an overwhelming amount to stay here. it was reasonably priced in a superb location. we will absolutely be back again! thank you herald square hotel for making our weekend in manhattan seamless.
SoSo Chic – I took wifey here one Valentines Day and we had a great time. The rooms where small (check the room is in NY) but the modern chic feel made my lady feel special. If you can pay it's a great place to play. The breakfast is off the chain.
Amazing bloody mary! – The Driskill's 1886 cafe has amazing bloody mary's and great food all around. They also make specialty cakes for celebrations and special occasions that taste great! For my graduation brunch they made a great white cake with a longhorn on the top, everyone loved it!
Not worth it – We stayed there our wedding weekend. First, I booked my spa appointments two months in advance and then called two weeks prior and they had no idea what i was talking about. I had to change all my plans around what they could do. The guy on the phone was sooo rude! 1st night: The food was only okay and all tasted the same. If you HAVE to smother all the meat you serve in cheese and mystery sauce- it can't be that good. The bartender takled to us about how annoying customers with kids are for about an hour. Love it here! – We're here every year for a conference and we tend to spend a few extra days in the city so we can play and run amok. This year, we discovered that LPM accepted Starwood points - SCORE! Bye-bye NY Sheraton, we liked you but it's time to try a new neighborhood. After reading several reviews specifically calling out the fact that you should ask for the new tower, we did just that when we made our reservations. Checking in, we received one of the big bummers of the experience, the hotel key card. The thing is tw... read more
nice hotel, unfortunately it's a starwood hotel – This hotel is nicely located and has a good business breakfast, unfortunately Starwood management is a nightmare. But if you expect not to be overcharged or you expect to accrue frequent flier miles, then just forget it. Every possible mistake is made through their centralized booking, overcharges don't drop off your account for weeks (even after repeated phone calls), and Starwood has a way of "forgetting" to tell you about mandatory service fees and the fact that you can't ... read more
beautiful hotel, badly managed – housekeeping was sloppy, I had to change rooms three times in one day because 1) air conditioning didn't work, 2) electrical outlet didn't work... it's a shame because it's a great location, but the management practices are better at a Motel Six... what a horrible waste
easy, nice and this place is very clean – the place is clean and the staff is very friendly.
A Hidden NYC Gem! – When I am in Paris, I stay in the 6eme arrondissement and surround myself in a neighborhood rich with Bohemian Parisian artistic culture that provides a quaint feel. When I travel to New York City, I look for the same quaint feel but I want the New York City vibe and culture. We all know how expensive the city that never sleeps can be and how much there is to see and do. So when I stay in this great metropolis, I want to be able to access New York City but on a respectable budget. And I always seem to fin... read more
