RecommendedBeen living here for the last 10 years in the south area very nice very clean 24 hr maintenance Stores all around nice playground areas the parking sucks but I don’t drive. They have they’re own private police department who are 24 hrs as well. It’s the Bronx so don’t expect it to be a country club but it’s not the projects some people just try to treat it like that. I recommend it just try to get into the south.
I just know that it was a great place to live and very well maintained. I lived there for 24 years.
Living here is starting to suck. There’s constantly construction of some kind. So all day all I hear is drilling and hammering. If you work midnights and live here I feel sorry for you. Over priced, no parking anywhere ever! You get charged for everything. I had to wait a month and half for them to fix tiles that had fallen from my bathroom wall. I have been living here over 20 years and have seen signs that say NO DOGS ALLOWED even before i moved here! so, why am i seeing dogs and dog poop everywhere and barking all hours of the night in my building? I am just waiting for a dog to bite me, i am going to be a wealthy woman because am i going to sue the crap out of parkchester
For the past month I’ve been trying to get Parkchester Preservation Management to have this water damage condition in my bedroom repaired. I’ve made appointments on several Friday’s, my only weekday off from work, with a request that a note be added to the work order requesting that the plasterer come after 12 noon. On one occasion he came before 12, while I wasn’t home and on another occasion he came before 12 on a Thursday, not Friday, while I was getting ready for work. Incompetence!!! Water in bathroom leaking. Made appointment with management for the plumber to repair. The plumber never shows up. I call back & am told there is nothing that can be done except turn the water off because the plumbers have gone home. I finally get in touch with the Service Department manager who hangs up the phone on me!
JUST BE AWARE OF BED BUGS IN THIS COMPLEX. ASK ASK ASK AND REQUEST REQUEST REQUEST FOR A BEDBUG DISCLOSURE FORM. YOU WONT REGRET IT.....
False advertisement, be very careful with them. I filled out an application with all information and then when I got there the lady is saying I was denied due to employment gap. So why called me when I had already registered that in the online application? Then she wanted me to take a loan of large sum of money so that I can still get the apartment.
