Very disappointing experience applying for an apartment. I put in my application on 5 June 2025. After two weeks without any update, I called to check on the application and was asked to upload payslips to speed up the process. I have repeatedly chased for updates via phone and email since then, with unsatisfactory responses, and have now had total radio silence for over two weeks. It seems they have very little interest in actually leasing out their apartments, so don't waste your time.
We’ve been living at The Collective in Washington, DC for over a year now, and it’s truly been an amazing experience. The community offers everything you could ask for - multiple swimming pools, a well-equipped gym, a basketball court, a golf simulator, and even a piano. There are frequent in-building events like pizza days that make it feel like home. The concierge team is always friendly, and the management is professional and helpful. My complaints fall into two categories, firstly my move out (I took a new job and had to move to WI): -I had ~3 months left on my lease when I took the job, so I advertised my lease on Facebook. I knew that sublets were not allowed, but that a workaround could be to get someone to sign on to the lease so I was careful to not say the word “sublet” in my post.
