The Best Mexican Food in Town for over 20 Years – I have been eating here for decades and the food cannot be beat. It is consistently the best Mexican food in Houston. A recent reviewer states their marinade has change for the Fajitas, I haven't had them in a while so I hope not...as they are the best in town. I usually have cheese enchiladas or a shrimp dish. I have been to dozens of places around town but no one does Mexican food as good as this family does. Their flour tortillas are the best in town.

Fajitas gone wrong - Changed marinade – Pappasitos has changed their fajita marinade. These are not the fajitas we grew up eating for the last 24 years. What were they thinking? You don't change a good thing. Bring back the old marinade please.

It was gross... – It was abosoultly horrible. I am appalled at their service. It was disgusting food. And what made me really mad was the hostess jessica. She was really rude. If you hate yourself defeltiy go to papasittos.

If your desire for bad service is only topped by your desire for bad food then welcome to Pappasitos! – This place was terrible!!! I went there for lunch was seated rather promptly in about 20 minutes. The waiter was not attentive and only came by a few times (in between breaks of doing narcotics). When the food was served 25 minutes after ordering it was greasy as can be and had been under a heat lamp for at least 15 minutes. I never got one refill and I could not even digest the food that tasted like eating the grease stra... read more

rapidly falling downhill – After several visits ,I will never waist my time with these people again. They are constantly out of what I order, and they charge extra for cheese and sour cream on fajitas even though they already charge $14.00 for chicken. My nachos had no peppers And they charged me extra for them. The manager was indifferent and offered to take the charge off for the peppers. The point is that this is a cheap, sleazy way to do business and has no place in a supposidly upscale tex-mex restaurant.Poor service and weak... read more

Exceptional, reliable Tex-Mex! – I was raised in Houston but now live in NY & I almost always try to dine here when I visit. My NYer husband finally got to taste Pappasito's outstanding Tex-Mex this past trip & it lived up to the hype! (We came last yr for dinner but left cuz of long wait, this time we came for lunch, so I recommend lunch if long waits turn you off). From the delectable chips & salsa to the large entrees, everything here is supremely tasty. My mom & I shared a holiday special for 2, the Festivo, which was be... read more

The Best Fajitta's around!! – The fajitas melt in your mouth. The tortillas are made fresh on the premises, the meat is tender and the melted butter is the perfect final ingredient. They also have excellent margaritas and really thin, crispy tortilla chips. You can't beat Papasito's for really fantastic Tex-Mex!

A local favorite for affordable Tex-Mex feasts in a festive atmosphere. – In Short Brace yourself for the noise, circus-like atmosphere and, during peak times, a long wait for a table. None of which has discouraged diners who have made this chain popular in Houston. Who can fault sizzling platters the size of manhole covers, great value and seemingly indefatigable service? Tortilla soup, Pappasito's famous fajitas and shrimp diablo are all worth a try. If strolling mariachis who sing "La Bamba" every five minutes get tiresom... read more

Great Eating – Service is always good. Great food, from fajitas to chicken spinach casadeas. Reasonable prices always a good time. Margaritas are done properly also and you can get Shiner Bock beer.
