Great ambiance – I just love the ambiance of this place, all the setup is great! it's small and cozy, yet big enough to fit big parties and more.... For some reason I always order the fajitas, should try something else next time!
Pappa's empire mediocre tex-mex – And we arrive to the Pappa's Empire's version of the Tex-Mex restaurant. Like everything else in their chains, Pappasito's is good, but not great. Warning – I went to Pappasito's 5/22/09 for margaritas and appetizers with a friend. We decided to swing by another place for a minute after finishing. It was far less of a hassle to use one vehicle instead of both of us driving separate cars to the same place. When we returned 45 min later my car had been towed and I had to pay $200 to get it back. Very Unique TexMex – Again, a lunch crowd and with an urge for Mexican. This was my first time at a Pappasito's and man was it good! The service was very slow, we were about a table of 7 so not too big a group; but we were there almost TWO HOURS, lots of of spent saying "where is that waitress?". The food, however, was really good. They have a really broad menu, so there is something for everyone. The portions were HUGE, so I recommend sharing. All in all, a good experience, but I'll hope for a better server next time.
The Best Mexican Food in Town for over 20 Years – I have been eating here for decades and the food cannot be beat. It is consistently the best Mexican food in Houston. A recent reviewer states their marinade has change for the Fajitas, I haven't had them in a while so I hope not...as they are the best in town. I usually have cheese enchiladas or a shrimp dish. I have been to dozens of places around town but no one does Mexican food as good as this family does. Their flour tortillas are the best in town.
Fajitas gone wrong - Changed marinade – Pappasitos has changed their fajita marinade. These are not the fajitas we grew up eating for the last 24 years. What were they thinking? You don't change a good thing. Bring back the old marinade please.

The Best in Texas – This restaurant is always clean. The service is excellent and friendly. The portions are huge and the quality of food is unbeatable! The most consistent restaurant we have been to in the Houston area. We highly recommend Pappasito's Cantina on Richmond to everyone!
