Get your hair cut here! – I just moved to the city and was in NEED of a haircut, it had been about 7 months ( i was letting it grow out). I was overwhelmed trying to find a place to go, and while I am willing to pay some money to get my hair cut, I am not going to pay 150+ when i don't know how good they are. No Joke, a Great Salon to Try if You are looking for a Great Style – I have lived in the NYC area for 9 years, gone to probably about 50 different stylists (Including salons like Bumble and Bumble and Elizabeth Arden {who made my look like Bon Jovi}), and FINALLY have found a stylist that is worth (and more) the price in Panyc and JC. Lots of frills, no thrills – I tried this place out in October because I needed a trim. Made the appointment at the front desk. Since it wasn't a major style I wanted I said that I would take the lowest level of the stylist. Great haircuts for a ridiculous price; complete attention and wonderful staff – I have been going to PANYC for the past 2 years, and have never had a haircut that I didn't love. Excellent experience all around! – I decided to try out PANYC based on the Citysearch reviews and my need to find a place more convenient to the PATH in this cold weather. I chose to go with Simon based on the reviews and the fact that I have Asian hair. I definitely liked the salon space (not cramped, lots of seating) although the building itself is kind of icky, but that's not their fault. Love love love love love my new haircut! – Went to see Simon about a month ago looking for "a new haircut" when I went in to talk to him, I was probably the WORST client ever! I didn't know if I wanted to grow it or cut it, dye it or streak it, curl it or straighten it. JC rocks! – I have been going to Panyc for over two years and love my experience each and every time. My only complaint (had I written this a few months ago) would have been the cramped quarters - although homey - could get to be a bit too homey. I am happy to report that now I have no compliaints whatsoever with Panyc. Their new space on 17th is BREATHTAKING and very SPACIOUS. I am so happy for them!!
