Worst Thai Restaurant – I ordered take out from this restaurant, since it's so close to my house; Service was HORRIBLE and food was AWFUL. I ordered a Chicken Dish and they gave me a different dish. It's a good thing I checked the order before I left. I returned it and asked them to make the Chicken Dish I ordered, they apologize and asked me to just take it. I also ordered Noddles without Onions and they served it with Onions. When I returned it ...They literally picked the onions on top of the food stirred it a little and ... read more
Did not deliver – I have to give Panang only one star because, I just spent over an hour waiting for a delivery that never came. When I called to see when my food might come, I was told they "would not be able to make it in time". I don't know if they were referring to the food preparation or the delivery. When I asked for clarification I was still confounded with a bunch of information about the manager not being there and she is the only one who can make it...? Finally, I was asked if I wanted to cancel the order. When it ... read more
Crossroad of the Far East – It was 9:30 p.m., 4th of July - and they were open. This is my first time at Panang Restaurant. Outside, their signage says "Thai Cuisine". On the windows are posters saying "Sushi Bar", "Chinese Cuisine" and "Pho". I was a bit confused but since they were the only ones open in maybe 5 square miles, so what the heck! At the entrance across the Cashier is a small gift shop. The setup is a medium-sized diner. The waiter gave me the menu and I was astonished. Their menu covered Thai, Chinese, Japanes... read more
awe-inspiringly terrible. – I'm serious, for the love of god, please, please don't eat there. I actually registered onto this website to decry this horrible, horrible restaurant, and i've often time dreamed of burning it to the ground as a service to eagle rock. Where to start! Pad Thai is the universal can't-fail-even-if-you-wanted-to dish, but somehow, SOMEHOW, they butchered it. I don't know if they taste what they cook, but the shrimp they added in was filthy- and bad shrimp has a horrible aroma to it. I had to soak my n... read more
Great and inexpensive! – Since it is just down the street from me, I go here from time to time. Pretty quiet. Decor is slightly tacky, it still has part of it's diner charm from it's previous owner. Sushi, is not so good. But I do recomment the Spring rolls, yellow curry, satay, coconut soup (thom ka gai) and pad thai. You can't really mess that up.
Boring Food & Beef like Rubber! Could be Worse - but Not by Much! Much Better Choices in the surrounding area. – I should have thought twice as I have a Thai friend that works in the vicinity of the restaurant and when I had asked him months ago if the restaurant was good he made a face like it was not. I guess I wanted to see for myself. I've had my fair share of Thai food and mostly it has been a good experience, unfortunately last night was not one of them. I ordered to go the Pad Pick King (stir fried green beans in chil... read more
Lively Eagle Rock Thai spot offers piquant seafood and extravagant sushi rolls. – In Short This busy and popular Thai hangout on Colorado features a new gleaming five-seat sushi bar and adjacent outdoor patio replete with twining mandevilla vines and cheerful umbrellas. The spacious dining room boasts cerulean blue-vinyl booths, white tablecloths, and fun, psychedelic Thai Op-art. Young hipsters and families gather for specialties like crabs with mint leaves, salmon with tamarind, and tangerine shrimp. The extensive sushi me... read more
A Getaway – Stepping into the Panang Restaurant in Eagle Rock is like stepping into a local restaurant in Thailand. Real Thais do the cooking. No local college students or actors waiting on tables. The food in fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Come hungry. Service is very friendly and attentive. It's now a favordite restaurant in Eagle Rock. Have not tried sushi yet, but it looks good.
Good Thai in Eagle Rock – We're kinda lazy when it comes to traveling to go out to dinner, so we generally eat in Eagle Rock. We really like this place. Food and service are both good, and take out orders are quick too. The soups are excellent, and as mentioned in the previous review, the spring rolls are wonderful. The portions are just right. Recently they added sushi, and it is as good as any upscale place, and we've tried the expensive places. We don't have anything negative to say about the place, besides the inside loo... read more
