Awesome lots of trails for new and experienced hikers. There is a amphitheater that opens during the summer. Unfortunately it was closed during my time there.
Great for "birding" Texas, & photography in general. The landscape & tonal quality of the hoodoos are exceptional & the wildflowers in May are abundant. My opinion, is hiking is best to view the scenes and environment. The 3+mile distance to the "Lighthouse" hoodoo can be viewed @ the 1 to 1.5 mile mark on the trail. 500+mm lenses can frame a decent capture. My husband and I camped here in September 2019, had such a wonderful time we went ahead and scheduled another trip in May. All of the RV spots are great! We loved hiking the Lighthouse and other trails. My parents did a day visit, they loved it so much they are bringing their camper to join us in May! Great park, friendly staff. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I have been a few times and plan on returning soon! It is a beautiful place with breath taking views! The visitors center is always fun to stop off and go thru!

lots to see, lots of hiking trails, wildlife is everywhere, and no cell phone reception. Its fantastic for that phone not to ring for a couple of days....
We Loved Palo Dura!!! Highly recommend the Rock Garden Trail !!! We enjoyed staying in canyon, TX over the rim cabins, the view was beautiful but you can see similar views from the visitors center. Every trail was different!! We hiked all of them!! Do not recommend the CCC trail due to over growth & not well marked, easy to get lost; however all the other trails are fantastic !!!! Loved the park!! We will go back!
