WOULD REFER EVERYBODY I KNOW TO THIS SALON I LOVE Palm Beach Tan. I have been tanning there since it was Pacific Beach Tan, and I must say...they have made ALOT of improvements in their packages and monthly EFT. Not only do I not have to sigh a contract, I am not locked into my monthly rate, and I can buy individual tans if I want to end my eft. I find myself in shock after reading these other reviews. Tanning Bay & Desert Sun are alike! I have tanned at several salons in the East Vancouver area. When I went to Tanning Bay, it was the same as Desert Sun....PUSHY SALESPEOPLE that make you feel guilty for keeping food on the table instead of keeping your booty bronze! Tanning Bay has conventional beds that you would expect to see in your apartment clubhouse - crappy! They had kept their beds clean for the most part and change their bulbs & have updated their VIP beds from Tan America beds to Soltron Beds as of February 2010. THINK before you say anything. I've noticed after reading through everyones reviews that a lot of the complaints stem from Pushy sales people. And of course pushy people can be irritating. BUT what YOU need to realize is that selling is their job. Maybe you believe that they're trying to squeeze you dry of $ but really they are only trying to survive in this economy as well. Great tanning results I love the girls, that work there and I love the tan I get! after reading all the other reviews it just goes to show everyone feels different! I recommend trying it for your self before you make a judgment! I love the Orchards location because It is new and very clean. But I love that I can use any location. I can freeze my account whenever and I can cancel it whenever. I don't feel like they are too pushy but That may just be me! Misconceptions Personally I work at a palm beach tan and I just wanted to shed some light on a few misconceptions. 1. There are absolutely NO CONTRACTS. Yes you must notify us if you are wanting to cancel by the 25th because we must let the banks know how much to draft and they need prior notice so if you have a problem with this, take it up with the bank. 2. When upgrading your membership the computer only charges a 20$ upgrade fee when in reality you could be jumping up to a 50$ extra per month package so 20$ is a happy me... read more

why go there With the recent closure of Tan Down Under due to lack of knowledge of how to run a salon..lol...I tried to figure this corporate salon out..wow so over priced and pushy...there are many other little family owned salons that treat you with respect and dont push you into buying their over priced packages. It was great to find a place like Electric Beach where the owners worked a great deal with me.
