Misconceptions Personally I work at a palm beach tan and I just wanted to shed some light on a few misconceptions. 1. There are absolutely NO CONTRACTS. Yes you must notify us if you are wanting to cancel by the 25th because we must let the banks know how much to draft and they need prior notice so if you have a problem with this, take it up with the bank. 2. When upgrading your membership the computer only charges a 20$ upgrade fee when in reality you could be jumping up to a 50$ extra per month package so 20$ is a happy me... read more
Great Beds This is an excellent place to tan. They are on the pricey side, but their beds work! They have a wide variety of products and tans, plus a lot of staff. They have a wide variety of tanning beds and even have a mystic tan. Catch their specials or purchase one of their "unlimited" tanning packages for the best value. This is by far my favorite tanning place.
PUSHY SALES PEOPLEV / POOR QUALITY BEDS THE BEDS ARE NOT WELL MAINTAINED AT ALL , I WENT THERE FOR A YEAR AND NOT 1 TIME DID THEY CHANGE THEIR BULBS, HIGH PRESSURE LAMPS OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CONVENTIONAL BED SHOULD BE CHANGED EVERY 600 HRS ,FOR A STEADY SALON THAT WOULD BE ABOUT EVERY 7 MONTHS, AND BY THAT TIME THEY ARE WORTHLESS ! Pacific Beach Tan service now STINKS. I bought an expensive tanning package which my boyfriend and I both use it and have noticed that the service has gone down hill. We informed them many times of garbage cans overflowing & burned out bulbs in many of their beds but it falls on deaf ears and I doubt the bulbs have been changed as to a schedule. Please don't go there, you'll be sorry! This place used to be nice, customer focused and clean. Maybe they change owners or something... I don't know what happened. Right now it sucks, the employees are constantly trying to sell you stuff you don't need, every time you go tanning, it's so annoying...they are just after your money. They trick you into buying new packages you donât want nor need, by offering you free tans that later they deny offering it to you. They treat you like garbage. THINK before you say anything. I've noticed after reading through everyones reviews that a lot of the complaints stem from Pushy sales people. And of course pushy people can be irritating. BUT what YOU need to realize is that selling is their job. Maybe you believe that they're trying to squeeze you dry of $ but really they are only trying to survive in this economy as well. Bye PBT and Thx Jason. I've gone to Tanning Bay now named Palm Beach Tan for 13+ years from when they were located across the street at Park Crest and when Linda Bay the original owner had owned it. They had kept their beds clean for the most part and change their bulbs & have updated their VIP beds from Tan America beds to Soltron Beds as of February 2010. Pacific Beach Tan IS A Great Place To Tan!! I just got a package at Pacific Beach Tan and gotta say they are great!! After reading the other reviews I would agree with the poster who said that other salons are posting negatives to maybe drive potential customers away?? They don't push lotions but DO inform you of specials they have. Hey? if you can save a few bucks why not hear about a few specials. The beds are kept clean.
