Misconceptions Personally I work at a palm beach tan and I just wanted to shed some light on a few misconceptions. 1. There are absolutely NO CONTRACTS. Yes you must notify us if you are wanting to cancel by the 25th because we must let the banks know how much to draft and they need prior notice so if you have a problem with this, take it up with the bank. 2. When upgrading your membership the computer only charges a 20$ upgrade fee when in reality you could be jumping up to a 50$ extra per month package so 20$ is a happy me... read more
Friendly staff Great beds, friendly staff, clean environment and in the two years I have been going there I have only had to wait for a bed once. They are only walk ins they don't take apts, but have enough beds that you will almost never wait. The prices are competitive to others in the area. Like all places you will need to convince them to give you a better "deal", they don't just offer, just like buying a car. Great Beds This is an excellent place to tan. They are on the pricey side, but their beds work! They have a wide variety of products and tans, plus a lot of staff. They have a wide variety of tanning beds and even have a mystic tan. Catch their specials or purchase one of their "unlimited" tanning packages for the best value. This is by far my favorite tanning place.
Jane Just tried out Palm Beach Tan for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Great deals on unlimited tanning and I can cancel at anytime? Verizon made me pay $300 to get out of my "contract" STUPID! The staff was great and told me how to get the best tan and actually made be a schedule. Great! Try it!
PUSHY SALES PEOPLEV / POOR QUALITY BEDS THE BEDS ARE NOT WELL MAINTAINED AT ALL , I WENT THERE FOR A YEAR AND NOT 1 TIME DID THEY CHANGE THEIR BULBS, HIGH PRESSURE LAMPS OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CONVENTIONAL BED SHOULD BE CHANGED EVERY 600 HRS ,FOR A STEADY SALON THAT WOULD BE ABOUT EVERY 7 MONTHS, AND BY THAT TIME THEY ARE WORTHLESS ! Be careful of reviews done by other tanning salons! It seems obvious that salons around the area are writing negative reviews on Tanning Bay/ PBT or any salon for that matter. Is it just me or is it funny that at the end of the reviews they all say they tan at Desert Tan? Hum, I wonder why? They either work there or own it! Please decide for yourself where you tan, not because of negative comments left by other tanning salons!
why go there With the recent closure of Tan Down Under due to lack of knowledge of how to run a salon..lol...I tried to figure this corporate salon out..wow so over priced and pushy...there are many other little family owned salons that treat you with respect and dont push you into buying their over priced packages. Pacific Beach Tan service now STINKS. I bought an expensive tanning package which my boyfriend and I both use it and have noticed that the service has gone down hill. We informed them many times of garbage cans overflowing & burned out bulbs in many of their beds but it falls on deaf ears and I doubt the bulbs have been changed as to a schedule.
