The primary goal of the Pain Psychology Center is to help patients eliminate or significantly reduce their physical pain symptoms. Traditionally, psychologists have focused on the management of pain, rather than its elimination. However, because chronic pain is often the result of learned neural pathways in the brain, in many cases it can be eliminated or significantly reduced through specific psychotherapeutic processes. Traditional pain management models often fail because they do not address the root causes of the pain.

Very caring, compassionate people! This road is tough...probably the most difficult thing I have ever done, but I have to believe I will get better!
Alan helped me get rid of chronic pain that I had for 16 years. I have also worked with Derek and he is also terrific.
As a Back Pain Personal Trainer, I am always looking for high quality professionals that understand modern pain science to refer my clients to. The Pain Psychology Center is amazing and I would trust them with any of my clients! - Melanie Daly, Back Pain Personal Trainer [@backpaintrainer]
Christie and Alan have both worked with me and are amazing. The people who do this type of therapy are special and hard to find. They have saved me from a life of misery with pain and anxiety ruling my everything. Now I am able to take control of my own life and healing process. I am eternally grateful.
The staff here are experts in having you understand your issues. They strive to make you heal yourself with their guidance. Anxiety and pain are two of the issues I personally know they excel at.
