What's all the hype about??!! – Pagliacci's is completely overrated!! What's all the hype about......someone please fill me in because I am not tasting it!! When it comes down to it pizza is pizza, tasty suace and good dough and it becomes hard to screw up! Pagliacci on the other hand hides behind there exotic toppings to make up for there at best average pizza. There sauce is nothing you can't find at the local grocer and there dough well it's lousy....always undercooked!! I will give them one thing...they carry themselves ... read more
YAY!! soggy flavorless crust!! – I'm not sure what it is that everyone likes about this place. I've tried it 4 times now from two locations and they were identical. the pizza crust is thin and flimsy, and twice it was under cooked. the toppings are run of the mill and the cost is bloated and without justification. Personally I'd look to try something new before giving this place another shot.
OVERRATED – My girlfriend and I went to the Pagliacci's on Broadway and were left unimpressed. After seeing all the awards they won we expected alot more. Instead what we got wasn't special. It was good, but just better than average. We both think that a better taste and value can be found at Piecora's.
Excellent Pizza – I don't live in Seattle anymore, but I seldom let a trip back 'home' go by without stopping at a Pagliacci's Pizza. Excellent pizza, great value, worth the 1500 mile trip!
Good pie for its type – It's a thin crusted pie with little sauce and great toppings. Some folks (I am one) LIKE it this way. Others don't. Others can go to Pete's where it's swimming in sauce. On the rare occasions when I'm NOT making my own at home, I'll continue to go with these folks. Pretty good pie, if pricey.
What are people smoking?!! – I am little more than an earnest pizza lover, but I can not for the sake of all that is sacred in pizza understand how this Pagliacci gets rated so high year in and year out. Are the people voting for this place actually eating the pizza? It tastes like a combination of cardboard, V8 and string cheese rolled into a greasy little ball. You'd do better (and I don't suggest this) to unwrap a Kraft single, throw it on a Ritz and pop it in the oven.
Pagiliacci: a bit clownish – As a Former NYer, I found although the toppings ample and interesting, that the dough seemed a bit weak and undercooked.
Hip, but not great. – Wow, this got the top rating? The food isn't really that great. But, its not that bad either. You don't really go to this place for the amazing food, you go for the fun, cheap, and hip spot to eat. The food is more of a 'New York' style, but it misses absolutely everything New York pizza is known for. They are supposed to have great crusts (remember the water in NYC is amazing, hence things like pizza crusts and bagels). The crust here isn't good, its soggy and a bit greasy. The toppings are the noted p... read more
Pagliacci #1??? THINK AGAIN! – Im not saying its horible pizza, but definitely well below the Chicago standards of which I base my taste for pizza. I understand it is not meant to be Chicago style, and is more NY style, but I'm just not down with the soggy paperthin slice of za. In my opinion, the best pizza to be found in this city is in the U Village, DelFino's. Their pizza is incredible. Flavorful crust, not too dry, and deep. Dont mess with this place, they know what they're doing. Its not cheap, but it is definitely wor... read more
