Very average restaurant for the price. Atmosphere was stale, old and needs updating. No music playing upon arrival. Ordered steak med. rare and came out rare. Asked for it to be cooked more and came back medium. Wild rice was left over from a prior day, reheated, mushy and with a crust on it. Salad bar however was fresh with good selections. Kalisa and team were awesome. Service with a smile. Salad bar had everything you could want. 🥦 salad, two types of macaroni salad, 🥔 salad, and of course all the bells and whistles of a regular salad! My husband ordered and I had two catfish fillets big enough to feed 4 people. The servings are very generous. We recommend this place!!
Today I visited a friend in Galesburg and he took me to the Packinghouse for lunch. I had the salad bar and a chicken club sandwich. The salad bar is huge and contains every salad option imaginable. It was the best salad bar that I have had in at least 10 years! The chicken club sandwich was very tender and came with a special sauce, it was fantastic! The service was also fantastic - I highly recommend the Packinghouse and will visit it the next time that I am in Galesburg.
We had Alex as our waitress she was the best we have had anywhere. Kudos to Alex! Food was excellently prepared. We will be back!
