Huge shoutout to Melissa and Leilani! They have been an incredible support through the end of my pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum! While I could not physically have either of them with me during labor and delivery due to Covid restrictions at the hospital I delivered at, they have always been a phone call or text away. Melissa and Creshae made a great doula team. Spending almost 2/3 of my pregnancy during COVID, they were attentive and caring over the concerns my husband and I were having. Ultimately, we were able to have Melissa support us in the hospital room while I delivered which was always plan A. All throughout L&D I felt Melissa physically and emotionally supported my needs as the birthing mother. Melissa has provided wonderful postpartum support to my family during this difficult time, which has been made more difficult by the Covid 19 quarantine. She has come and provided care for my baby so my husband and I could rest. We were able to get some much needed sleep, knowing our baby was receiving excellent care.
Melissa and Annie are amazing! Melissa jumped right in on the frantic day of our birth, and was able to help not only relieve many of our fears and worries, but also help communicate with our family when things went a little sideways and we found ourselves facing an emergency c-section. Annie and Melissa are absolutely amazing. A 5/5 review does not do justice for how amazing they are. They went from being just our birth class instructors, to our doulas, to being part of the family. They will always be part of our family. We had a loss and they were able to make the worst day of our lives so much better and continue to do so. Without them our lives would be very different in a very bad way. They will forever be in our lives ❤️ No words can describe how truly amazing these women are.
doulas should be protecting their clients not the providers. also, deleting constructive criticism is very unbecoming. I hope you pull it together for the sake of your clients.
Nicole was incredibly supportive in our extremely early birth of our daughter. Though we didn’t get the birth we hoped for due to some medical complications that no birthing team could avoid, Nicole was with us in Portland in a heartbeat, helped answer our questions, clarified information coming from an OB we had never met that was coming at us at a mile a minute, and helped us find a voice in an otherwise voiceless event. Melissa was an amazing support for my family as a postpartum doula. Transitioning to a mom of two kids under 2 was not easy but Melissa was there to make sure my 1 year old felt special and not left out & that we could get into a good routine. (And a few midday naps didn’t hurt 😉) She was a compassionate, listening ear when I really needed it. I feel empowered and confident now. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!
