We had a deeply disappointing experience with PACCAR Financial Used Truck Sales. We purchased a used Peterbilt 579 from the PACCAR Financial Used Truck Center in Spartanburg, SC. Just google Reddit and paccar davie tech support. I am not a one off pissed off consumer. Thousands, mostly dealership IT complaints. I STRONGLY suggest you do so before purchasing this product. Diagnostic software is now available to us peasant non dealers but it doesn't work. Eventually it will for a short period of time and you will be right back on the phone and in emails trying to figure out what next stupid thing is causing it not to function. Every week I have to put this in otherwise my injectors in my @paccar_powertrain will stop doing a good job and shuts down my @peterbiltmotors due it is derate. I've had it now flushed maybe 7 times since I got my 2022 Peterbilt 579. Paccar makes a nice truck as far as interior amenities goes. Their plastic coolant tank however is the worst design I've ever seen. It has a magnetic float inside the tank and a sensor that reads the float through the wall. Unfortunately the magnetic floats keep breaking. My truck is on its second tank in two years. People on Facebook groups dedicated to solving paccar products are complaining about having to buy new coolant tanks every year because the floats keep breaking.
