The lady who inherited this restaurant is the most arbitrary and vindictive woman I have ever encountered, and was a nightmare to work for. The food is fine, but don't support her crazy and unethical employment practices.
Was there for dinner last night 11/28/15, great music, our bartender/waiter Steve did an amazing job, fast service great food, he did it all:)
What a dive :(this is a has been restaurant will not be going back ever if u eat there plan on seating yourself ,put your order in personally, go pick up your drinks yourself ,and pick up your order yourself what a shit hole if there was a 0 that's what they would get
Eaten there once, and it was okay. Then again, I have never worked there. But having MANY friends who have, I only hear one thing "I was treated like absolute shit as an employee." I hear nightmare story after nightmare story about the horrible management (one in particular - Leticia?). Well, gotta stop on by and give them that one star review and let them know that for this reason alone, I will never frequent this restaurant again. Get your act together, Oyster House, workers are people!
I am a long time customer. Sadly after my last visit about a week ago I may not be returning. Increased prices and declining quality being at the top of my list. So very disappointed. Fortunately.. Anthony's is just down the boardwalk. One can get a wonderful seafood experience and a great coastal vibe with EXCELLENT professional service.
Don't buy gift certificates from them! Received $100 gift certificate for xmas, had lunch went to pay, they would not accept our gift cert. Owner actually called me a thief, said I was committing fraud against her restaurant. She called the cops, I waited but they never came. Never have been treated like this we used to go all the time. NEVER AGAIN. the place still owes me $ 60 from my gift cert. Maybe small claims just to prove a point that you can't treat customers that way. Second time in a row that the first two menu choices were NOT available. Reason: We can't charge enough to make it work so we plan to remove it from the menu. Just haven't done it yet. Sorry......are you kidding me?? I'm really done this time. Geeez
Awesome place to eat, I highly recommend the Oyster House!
