Mr. Newman moved to Piedmont, Alabama from Kentucky and then to Oxford in 1958. He took his savings and began a lumber and building materials business at 4th and Barry Street in Oxford. I Love doing business with Oxford Lumber bc everytime I walk in, someone is there to help you locate exactly what you are looking for. Without fail, someone is there to find it, order it, show you how to use it, etc. Even if it is just a question over the phone, they will go look for your item, tell you how much it costs and take their time with you. I never feel rushed or unimportant when I deal with the folks there. They go beyond the call of duty to help you anyway they can.
So helpful this past weekend! Answered so many questions and led us to the right products. So glad we have your great store to go to. Nothing but the nicest people all over the store and lumber building.

There are licensed plumbers on duty all the time, if you have a question we can answer it!!!!! We want to make you feel at home!!!!
When I've gone into Oxford Lumber, someone has offered assistance with in a couple of minutes. They will actually walk you over to the item, not just point you to an asile. The associates are knowledgeable and professional.
Great people to deal with, have ALWAYS been helpful.
