Mr. Newman moved to Piedmont, Alabama from Kentucky and then to Oxford in 1958. He took his savings and began a lumber and building materials business at 4th and Barry Street in Oxford. My experience with Oxford Lumber was top notch. Being in construction myself, I understand the overwhelming feeling of walking into a hardware store and trying to get and understanding of different materials, usage, and application. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional, which you don't get elsewhere. Very impressed.

Recently I was looking for something. I found it online. I thought surely Oxford lumber has that or can come up with something that will work.I went in there and sure enuff they made up the piece exactly what I had found online. They saved me alot of time and made my job easier. Thanks Oxford lumber
