Mr. Newman moved to Piedmont, Alabama from Kentucky and then to Oxford in 1958. He took his savings and began a lumber and building materials business at 4th and Barry Street in Oxford. Great place to shop, couldn’t today when they closed at 5pm and online it said they closed at 6pm. Lowe’s got $45.00 when I would of rather purchased with a home town business.
