Loved watching the Lip Sync Battle .It was an awesome fundraiser. Disappointed in the seating , you pay money to go to an event and you get a ticket to find out the one you bought was for standing, highly disappointed that people had to stand . Everyone should have had a seat.
The staff at the convention center is great to work with. Not to mention, it's a beautiful facility.
A very nice Convention Center but definitly needs to add to parking. They had the snow cleared off all the spaces but still needed way more parking and a seperate area for the trucks with trailers.
I attended A Rocking Country Christmas. It was my first visit to the convention center for an event. I expected an auditorium with comfortable seats but the event was in an exhibit hall with banquet chairs for seating. This is not a suitable venue for concerts. Parking is inadequate. I arrived 45 minutes early for the event and the parking lots were already full.
I am glad we have a place for concerts. Kudos to Owenboro for having Christian bands. As for the "concert area"...not good. When building the convention center, there should have been some thought for an area only for concerts. The layout of the riverpark center would be perfect. At least the stage area is raised to where everyone can see even when people stand up. And the seats are comfortable and you dont feel like you are sardines in a can. Very nice convention center. Large enough to hold many events. Workers were very nice and the place was clean. We were able to get a quick meal and it was pretty good.. Love Owensboro for its community mindfulness
