Editorial fromThe little bungalow under its looming banyan tree went through a major overhaul in early 2010 to emerge as a moderately priced fish "shack" with enough ironic winks that tony Sarasota has embraced slumming it in precisely this way. Under…

Best beach view for lunch in the area! Fabulous fresh fish. Food & service were top notch! Will be back for sure, maybe even today:)
Great food, great service, very friendly staff. Absolutely loved the mussels in leek sauce which I shared with the Hub, red snapper with collard greens & succotash was superb. Then after dinner we went to the back yard where we had a couple of drinks whilst listening to live music . It was a a wonderful evening & will defo be going there again 😁
Usually when you visit small towns food recommended by the hotel is mediocre at best. It was a pleasant surprise that the food and service was excellent. If the other 2 women would have agreed I would have eaten here on my second night and tried something different. The escargot was amazing.
Check the place out if you can. Atmosphere is awesome, service was great and the food was right on time. We found this place by accident we'll actually the kids found it on yelp lol. Well worth it and is really good.
This is a great place to visit. We loved the atmosphere and the king crab was amazing. I recommend even making the drive Siesta Key!
Great seafood and atmosphere! We had the crab legs!
I had jambalaya and the bourbon pecan pie both recommended by our server Holly. Which by the way is as Sweet and efficient as she is Beautiful bet I had 8 refills of tea and never an empty glass

Won't go back. There are much better places to go for seafood in Cortez. We were there for a good (not great) meal last year, but there was no comparison to the meal we got this time. My son really enjoyed watching the very young waitresses in their very short shorts.
This is the most eclectic wonderful charming house turned sea food shack I have eaten at. From the live band in the back yard to the straight out of the Everglades back yard to the provided bug spray and fire roasted seafood appetizer while you wait . It doesn't get much better than this. Shrimp Basket was fantastic, as much as I wasn't a fan of the fried okra, not because it wasn't good but because it just isn't a food I liked. But was worth the try. Basket was filling and well worth the price. We had a great table on the f... read more
