I am considering moving back to Charleston and having Owen find me a new home. I will use no other as he had helped me buy my first in W. Ashley, got me the house I wanted and worked with the owner on the price. 12 years later, I decided to move back to Texas. He was a good leasing agent when I rented, and worked to get with me to get the best possible price for the neighborhood. I walked by an OGM sign on the way to work this morning and was reminded of what a terrible experience I had 3yrs ago with Mr. Meislin. The fact that I am still unsettled about my bizarre encounter with him prompted me to write a review and hopefully spare others the experience of working with Mr. Meislin. Hopefully he has changed the way he treats people he considers "lesser" over the years...

Owen is the worst landlord Ive had the displeasure of coming in contact with. I feel like I was in my apartment on sufferance. Every dealing with him was very unpleasant and always reeked of dishonesty. I ignored all of the bad reviews of him I found online because he seemed like a nice guy. Boy was I wrong. Great landlord – Owen and his office staff have always been very responsive to any problem that may have arisen. I have rented from him for three years and could not be happier. I read the review from the person who lived in one of his rentals for FIVE years and was unhappy? Must have left the place dirty and therefore didn't get back the full refund. Outstanding real estate agent and property manager – I have used Owen to buy and sell real estate multiple times. He always looked out for my best interest in a most professional and dedicated manner. I have also used Owen and his company for my rental unit. He goes out of his way to protect my investment, especially against those who choose not to bide by their rental agreement. Renters will only have problems if they violate the terms of their lease. Awesome landlord! – I just signed my second lease with Owen, and I had no reservations about doing so. I moved in with a roommate, and after they moved out, I decided to keep the house with my husband when we got married. To everyone griping about losing their deposits due to preexisting problems in the home, I wonder if you were listening at all when you signed your lease. Happy in my home – Contrary to other expressed views, my experience with Owen G. Meislin has been uniformly positive. Owen and his staff have been professional, kind and courteous from the first meeting on. My home is clean, safe and I am surrounded by good neighbours. Whenever a need arises I am confident that it will be met in a timely manner and that is always the case.

Owen G Mieslin is extremely dishonest and should have his business license REVOKED. – I lived in a rental house in Charleston in 1999 that was bought by him mid-lease. Three months later, I come home to SOME of my belongings on the side of the road but NONE of my belongings in the house. All of my property of value(two bikes, two surfboards, a snowboard, a computer, and a stereo) mysteriously disappeared.
