I am considering moving back to Charleston and having Owen find me a new home. I will use no other as he had helped me buy my first in W. Ashley, got me the house I wanted and worked with the owner on the price. 12 years later, I decided to move back to Texas. He was a good leasing agent when I rented, and worked to get with me to get the best possible price for the neighborhood. I walked by an OGM sign on the way to work this morning and was reminded of what a terrible experience I had 3yrs ago with Mr. Meislin. The fact that I am still unsettled about my bizarre encounter with him prompted me to write a review and hopefully spare others the experience of working with Mr. Meislin. Hopefully he has changed the way he treats people he considers "lesser" over the years...

Owen is the worst landlord Ive had the displeasure of coming in contact with. I feel like I was in my apartment on sufferance. Every dealing with him was very unpleasant and always reeked of dishonesty. I ignored all of the bad reviews of him I found online because he seemed like a nice guy. Boy was I wrong. Stay away for this man,he will smooth talk you with a 30 minute presentation but once your name is on the lease he will forget about you and ignore you. My daughters AC broke in June and was never properly fixed Bunch of excuses and a Heat and air man that he uses that will say anything he wants. Finally took him to court after 3 months and got out of lease. Unless you have funds to fight him you better go elsewhere.

Great landlord – Owen and his office staff have always been very responsive to any problem that may have arisen. I have rented from him for three years and could not be happier. I read the review from the person who lived in one of his rentals for FIVE years and was unhappy? Must have left the place dirty and therefore didn't get back the full refund. Saddened Iam a friend of a woman who has under gone the worst with Owen G. Meislin. I was considering to rent a house but decided against it. The question I have is why havent the tenants contacted the owner of the properties. Mr. Meislin is the property manager. Has the owner of these properties decided to take a deaf ear. Outstanding real estate agent and property manager – I have used Owen to buy and sell real estate multiple times. He always looked out for my best interest in a most professional and dedicated manner. I have also used Owen and his company for my rental unit. He goes out of his way to protect my investment, especially against those who choose not to bide by their rental agreement. Renters will only have problems if they violate the terms of their lease. Awesome landlord! – I just signed my second lease with Owen, and I had no reservations about doing so. I moved in with a roommate, and after they moved out, I decided to keep the house with my husband when we got married. To everyone griping about losing their deposits due to preexisting problems in the home, I wonder if you were listening at all when you signed your lease.
