Osteria 832 Not so much – Osteria is aesthically pleasing, the seating is comfortable, and the counter staff was friendly. I ordered the Proscutto Pizza, they have several, its one at the bottom of the menu for Ten bucks. It Was not good, they went crazy with rosemary and it was drenched in balsamic vinger. My girlfriend ordered the Tuscano chicken sandwich, she wasn't too thrilled with it either. I will give it another shot but the first impression of the food was not great.

Good Pizza & Pasta – Osteria 832 has simply prepared food that tastes good. The pizza is really thin crust with great flavor. The salads , fried calamari, and spinach dip are good. The pastas are also good, but could use more sauce. They are a little light on the sauces. Good wines to go with your meal.

one of the best... – ...new breeds of innovative italian cooking. i highly recommend the appetizer portion of mussels, the baschaiola, tuscan chicken and mushroom triangoli. i go just about once a week and have found no failing of consistency to impress. they have a nice little 3 tier selection of italian wines ranging from around $15-$30 and half off wine on tuesdays. every server i've had has been friendly and knew their menu. its not pay parking if you tell the attendant you're going to osteria. overall one of my favorite... read more

Osteria 832 does a lot of things right – But, there are a few things to work on. The food is consistent, unique and and very good. The ambience is great as well. However, waits can be pretty bad, the service is below average, they don't have a full bar and the prices are nothing to write home about. Even though Osteria 832 has its problems, it is still a great choice for dinner. I'd just pick an off night.

Don't be fooled. – A good idea is what little good I have to offer this restaurant after 5-6 visits. Chi-chi pizzas and pastas at slightly more affordable prices. On a reluctant recent visit we encountered "20-30" minute wait. Not unusual. Totally fine. After 40 minutes, a second drink, a long perusal of the menu we were told our table was "coming up." 20 more patient minutes passed. Nothing. Patient as we are, we noticed not a soul waiting for a table and tables open. We then left. The cause of my reluctance to go here anyh... read more

Good food, but pricier than you would expect – Our kids (10&6) were underwhelmed by the kids menu, so we ordered them an adult pasta entree ($14) plus a salad ($4) to share, while my wife and I decided to split a special pizza ($12) plus a salad ($4). The food was very good but we found the portions inadequate: my 6 year old would have finished the adult entree and a salad by himself! Typically, $9/head (food portion only - no drinks) at a family-type place would easily feed a family of two average adult eaters and two child... read more

Top-notch pizzas and pasta dishes make this cozy Italian eatery a neighborhood favorite. – The Scene The simple decor of decorative mirrors and exposed brick matches the atmosphere--inviting and unpretentious--a perfect setting for the Virginia Highlands. The warmth radiating from the pizza oven creates a cozy ambience, luring families, students and neighborhood foodies with better-than-average fair at a reasonable price. Crusty, paper-thin Euro-styled pizzas, all in the $10 range make this easily-addictive joint a smart, re... read more

Great Easy Casual Dining – This is a perfect place to eat cheap, hang out with friends, and move on to the bars. The food is simple, but good, and their squash soup is to die for.
