I had a very disappointing experience at the West 86th Street location. My pupillary distance (PD) measurement was not taken during my eye exam. After leaving my appointment, I reached out to ask why the measurement had not been completed and even offered to return so it could be done. I was told it wasn’t necessary because of my age and that the measurement doesn’t change. That’s not the point. I paid for an eye exam and expected the necessary measurements to be completed. I scheduled appointments online for two of my kids. We haven't used My Eye Dr before-- we have always used Stanton, so this is our first experience with them. They called a few minutes later and cancelled them both.
I’ve been going to the Eye Doctor on W 86th Street next to the Trader Joe’s for 8 years. My last visit with Dr Judson Avila was on May 21. I had a change in my eyes so I had to get new lenses. After I picked up my new lenses I noticed the tint wasn’t getting dark enough. When I went outside I noticed I was squinting and I was feeling blinded by the sun.
