Honestly wish I could give this practice the zero star rating they deserve. I attempted to schedule an appointment via phone call 3 days in a row on my lunch. I left messages about wanting to schedule a phone call. Let them know what my availability is, and attempted to book via mychart. Instead of giving me the option to schedule it myself, they booked my appointment FOR ME on a day I was not available, then closed the message thread so that I could not respond to it and would have to call the office. I went on my lunch break for a 30-minute new patient appointment and was left in the room for 40 minutes. Someone came in and of course I told symptoms, but I also mentioned (hoping to help give more context) that I’ve been in the process of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder for about a year. My time at OSF GI was nothing short of a nightmare, and it all stems from the abysmal care I received from Dr. Kalva and his team. After what should have been a standard colonoscopy, I was left in a state of utter confusion. Dr. Kalva was supposed to go over my results with my son, but instead of providing clarity, he barely muttered a few words before hastily moving on, leaving us in the dark. Dr Martin was my doctor 5yrs ago and things @ this office were much better than they are now. Now, since I've moved back to Peoria I was referred back to this office. The nurses could be a little bit more compassionate about their patients and the the women taking appts (Rhonda) i believe is her name could be more welcoming when scheduling a patient *sigh* I'm considering of just returning back my gastro dr i was seeing before moving back here.
