Truthfully one of the worst experiences I've had. Was my first time at this location. Completely disregarded the moment we walked through the door. The greeters/check in clerks didn't even notice I was there. The neurologist told me that I didn't look autistic enough for her. And then proceeded to tell my friend that he was lying about my convulsions because he wasn't present to see my most recent episode and that my medically trained coworker had false information. I had a good experience with my visit. Jake, bob, and dr Carmichael were excellent. The front desk was very kind. The one thing I didn’t like was the wait. I think I sat in the waiting room for close to an hour.
Had brain surgery to remove a meningioma four years ago. Hadn’t had another seizure until a few months ago. My Primary Care Doctor referred me to OSF, and someone called to set an appointment time with me. A week before my appointment, they called and told me they were moving me up a couple of days. Then, the morning of my appointment they moved me to, they call me and tell me that I can’t be seen by a neurologist, instead a Physicians Assistant from a different provider can see me.
