I had a really good time here, and the food is great. The only problem is a manager named Ralph made me really uncomfortable while I was waiting for a table. He immediately started an argument with my friend, assuming we weren't there to eat. He got loud and intimidating. I think someone needs to speak with him about his customer service skills.
The atmosphere was great, the service not up to par. We use to go there a lot. We stopped going due to the erratic service. We tried it again and this time the Gyro sandwich was not so good and the service was not as bad as previously, but nothing to rave about. The grilled corn beef sandwich was okay. The establishment was not busy, but it seemed like it was. Being an Ale House, the emphasis is on alcoholic beverages, not necessarily the food.
Love love love Oscars! We both had burgers I had the Cajun burger with andouille sausage. It's so good very spicy but I can't get enough of it and onion rings very crispy. My hubby had a burger with bacon and fries on the side. Both very satisfying with that smoky grilled taste. I had the Huckleberry lemonade which is so good on the specials list and Coors light. They have a huge array of other beers we have tried. They food is always great we go a couple times a month. Great appetizers. We've had the wings, nachos, crab dip... read more
I become a huge fan of Oscars while I was in town visiting family. I manage a restaurant and bartend in Lexington KY. I've been in the industry for 14 years. I'm critical and picky at times. The experience I had at Oscars was that of fantastic service and great food. Drinks were great! (But I judge restaurants on service and food. It's hard to screw up Bourbon!) haha. Our server Lauren was fantastic, management was great and personable. I'd highly recommend trying this place out. You won't regret it.
This one of the best meals I have ever had out . The shrimp and smoked bacon club was outstanding! My husband had the Grouper sandwich, excellent !!! My sis in law had the roast beef sub with au jou, she said it melted in her mouth. ! Try Oscar's Ale House. You will not be disappointed. Sara the waitress was fab!!!??
Ignored by bartender and they weren't even busy. Glad we have other spots in the 'Burg
Whoever hires & trains the staff here surely had a PHd or an Oscars (haha) in this category!!! Great wait staff, consistently delicious food and always a great time all around! Eburg is finally lucky to have a very good restaurant for all families to enjoy. It's been a long time coming!!! Thank you Oscars!
