Dr Ortiz performed a laparoscopic umbilical hernia repair for me after four previous failed repairs by other surgeons. So I was a complex case. My surgery was ten years ago. I had to have two surgeries with Dr. Ortiz, I was referred to him by a close colleague of his for a tumor they found, he was extremely helpful and kind. He's walked me through both procedures with ease. I never felt uncomfortable with him. I've been happy with the work that he's done. His staff is top tier, they're great I've been back and fourth with them for about a year and they've always been there when I need them (because they're a busy office don't expect every call to be answered but they are efficient in returning c... read more

I had abdominal hernia surgery performed by Dr. Ortiz last year. Despite pre-op assurances of a simple repair, the procedure apparently became much more complex. I feel that more evaluation pre op would have been advised. I have had a lot of post operative pain even a year later. Follow up with Dr. Ortiz has been dismissive. I am now seeking advice from other surgeons about a possible follow up surgery. Dr. Ortiz is a personable individual but I believe he was careless in my case.
Great experience. True vocation. His degree of professionalism and service made an impact in our lives. We would not doubt to receive care from him in the future.

Dr Ortiz performed type II hiatel surgery on me in 2016 and I have never felt better in my life. He is an excellent surgeon and I recommend him highly. I was truly blessed to have him recommended to me. I had been suffering with digestive problems for years and now I feel absolutely wonderful.
Dr. Ortiz is a blessing, I've had multiple surgeries over the last 3 years, by other doctors. On 2 separate occasions, Dr. Ortiz had to operate. Therefore in my opinion he corrected other doctors mistakes. Dr. Ortiz is, the type of doctor; that he will explain everything thoroughly. furthermore a doctor could just throw pills; at a patient, Dr. Ortiz looks for a solution. Dr. Ortiz staff, every single one of them; are a burst of sunshine.
Very kind and caring. Dr. Ortiz have exceeded my expectations with his outstanding quality care.
