I went to OrthoWilmington for a second opinion for my shoulder and bicep pain. I explained to the doctor that I had done physical therapy for a month and also had a cortisone shot in my shoulder and that those two things were not working, hence just wanting to know if anything else was going on. After an exam, the doctor came to the same conclusion of frozen shoulder. That was fine with me and have since learned via internet that a frozen shoulder can take up to nine months to heal. What I am upset about is that the doct... read more

I was being seen by ortho wil leland as a veteran for pain management. I was told that the v.a. would pay for treatments. However I received a bill a month after 3rd treatment. Nothing was ever discussed about t what would happen during procedure and the things not to do after procedure. Things near to change at ortho wil .

Appt. was September 10 at 8:30 am. Waited 50 minutes before seeing the doctor. He clearly had not reviewed any of the records which were comprehensive (prior treatments; pt records; and X-rays). Nor did he have any knowledge whatsoever of needs for cardio clearance (all part of the records). I suspect this practice overbooks clients to drive up billings. If you don't ask for hospital surgery you'll be booked at a local surgery mill--I mean surgery center. Once the tests are done I'll drive to DUMC for surgery!

Don't expect to be treated how you should if you're on workman's comp insurance. The doctor's PA sent me back to work with internal bleeding (shown after an MRI was done 2 weeks later) and in too much pain to stand on my feet over a short period of time. I was not prescribed pain medication and because of this PA's personal mistake I may have a lengthened recovery time. i specifically asked to see a doctor and not his errand boy the last time I went to get treatment and it seems the doctor has now resorted to treating me wor... read more

It was wonderful when it was a group called Atlantic Orthopedics. The medical assistants are catty and very rude eating food behind their desks. Probally overworked and underpaid. Treat every poor person having orthopedic or muscular skeletal pain very badly including having to wait in a long line standing to get registered. Would rather go to a smaller clinic but my insurance company has a deal with them. Guess I will drive up to Raleigh. Sad. Just have gotten too big for their britches and do not know how to manage. ... read more
