I am a physician who had increasing knee pain after a fall while jogging the day before. When I phoned for an appointment, the assistant ordered a knee X-ray series next door at Straub hospital beforehand and appointment the same day. I had a patellar (kneecap) fracture. Dr Sam Chen was outstanding. I've known plenty of orthopedists. Careful explanation of the injury, healing time course, what to do, and planned follow-up.
