Dr. Ghavam is a very caring and compassionate doctor, who listens and explains in words that patients can understand. He fused both my neck and lower spine. Great surgeon. Oregon was so lucky to have him while we did. He will be really missed. Thank you, Dr. Ghavam.
Dr Ghavam is exceptional. He makes you feel at ease during all interactions. He really takes the time to “Listen” to your needs, without staring at a computer which has become so common in the Medical World. You can tell he’s very interested in helping his patients. An excellent surgeon and a very caring doctor. He listens to patients concerns, and very helpful with follow up care. I feel very fortunate to have gotten him for my surgery, I highly recommend him.
I would like to say my neck surgery was wonderful but I can't. Because Dr. Ghavam wouldn't do it. He said he's seen worse. I have pain to the point of nearly passing out. My legs get wobbly and feel like they'll go out from under me, but he's seen worse. His personality is warm and caring and you really feel like the man is listening. Till he refuses to do your surgery.
I feel so grateful that I accidentally found Dr. Ghavam. He is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have seen. I had been suffering for years and had several doctors tell me they would do nothing. Within 2 months after my first visit with him I was recovering from my L5-S1 fusion. He listens to every word and gives all your options. He patiently answers every question and concern. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ghavam!

a physician who listens/pays attention to you, isn't typing on a laptop or tablet while you describe your symptoms/complaints/progress. a doctor who apparently knows his stuff, gives direct answers to direct questions....doesn't hem & haw or answer vaguely
Great doctor, listens to how you are feeling and makes sure you get the care you need! Did an excellent job for my low back surgery and my scar healed wonderfully!
Dr Ghavam is a great surgeon. Not only professional and caring but will walk you through the entire process. I had back surgery and I'm no longer in pain and well be returning to work next week thanks to him.
