If there is anyone out there considering any kind of orthopedic surgery any time soon please reconsider if you are bring referred to the Orthopedics Surgery Center in Manhattan. Make sure you know what you sign will protect them should something happen to you during surgery that is thier mistake. You may be injured for life. I am a Healthcare Professional also and Dr. Palmgren really impressed me. He shook my hand when he entered the exam room and introduced himself. He asked me about my concerns and asked “tell me what you’d like me to do for you”. He kept eye contact, gave me all his attention, explained my x-rays thoroughly and provided multiple treatment options without pressure. I did not feel rushed or ignored. Very professional and compassionate. Dr Palmgren treated me for shoulder pain that I've had for several months. Explained all my options and listened to any questions I had. Would highly recommend him.
Dr Palmgren evaluated my ankle and recommended replacement. Since I need to think about such a major step, he suggested I try a steroid shot in the joint. Wow! It has helped about 85% of the pain and relieved the stress from my hip which I was overcompensating for the ankle pain. Usually the shots don’t work anymore for me. But I never got a shot in the ankle. Dr Palmgren was sensitive to my concerns and left the door open for future shots or surgery as desired.
Dr. Palmgren was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision to have my left knee replaced.
The doctor did a great job. Not only as a skilled surgeon but also in post surgery follow up appointments.
