Many with back issues in my office have noticed my "turn-around" improvement and have asked for details about my doctor! Dr. Irby went straight to the problem and fixed it. no long term damage and I have complete feeling in my left foot and lower leg, most importantly is I am completely pain free :-)

I have complete faith in Dr. Irby as an surgeon. He treats you as he would treat his family. He does not rush into surgery but if that is the best course of action then he will go over the procedure in detail. He goes over all your options and the expected outcome. I respect and admire him as a physician.

A fantastic doctor and a decent man. This guy knows his stuff backwards and forwards. He is extremely direct, and gives you complete confidence in his diagnosis and his ability to fix it. He performed a spinal fusion on me at 26 after two years of chronic pain. Actually called me at home himself the day after I was discharged. I’m five months out and the closest to pain free that I can remember. To anyone reading this with spine problems, this guy is the real thing.

I just completed the recovery, slightly ahead of schedule, after Dr. Irby did some involved lumbar surgery on me. He and each person on his team have a professional, friendly, courteous and confident attitude as they work with you for a good outcome. He, Lindsey, Felicia and Sara each handle their responsibilities with the idea that they are all there to help a person who has a problem. I recommended Dr. Irby and the whole team as good people who provide good care with good results. THANKS!

Dr. Irby is a top-rated doctor & has a full schedule. Your time with him on appts will be brief, but he knows what he is doing. After chiro and stretching didn't help me, I came to see him w/ bad sciatica in my right leg in early 2017, tried anti-inflammatory Rx, then 2 cortisone shots around mid-year. When the sciatica also spread to my left leg in Oct, I made the decision to do the surgery. Had the surgery (laminectomy, foraminectomy L4-5) in mid-Dec & recovery has been completely pain-free!

Thank you Dr. Irby! I watched my daughter suffer in pain for months until we made an appointment to see you. You are a smart, efficient, caring, and incredible Dr. I understand why you won Top Doc! After two visits and a trip to the hospital under your care, Im so happy to say that my daughter (35) can walk again without excruciating pain. Thank you for you kindness. Dr. Irby saw me quickly after I ruptured a disk, L4-L5. He took time to examine me and discussed the needed treatment plan. Dr. Irby performed Laminectomy surgery at OrthoVirginia out patient surgery on Shrader Road. The staff at this facility took great care with me. The surgery was a success and I am in recovery. Follow up care was great with Lindsey Townsend PA, and Dr. Irby. Jane Cash PT with MVP Physical Therapy helped with my therapy sessions. I highly recommend Dr. Irby for Spine tx.
