By far the best meal I have had in Anchorage.Our waiter Rome was fantastic.Elagante Ten stars from me.Great way to end my last evening here.

I'm sure many reviews of this nature have begun with "I don't normally do this sort of thing", but as a lifer in the hospitality industry you can rest assured that it's against my moral fiber to do this sort of thing. I am not always an easy person to please because when I ask for things I'm generally very specific with what I want. I am paying for what I want not what somebody else wants. If an ingredient is supposed to be in the item I order and if that happens to be my favorite ingredient, it's very difficult to not say the dish was lousy if it wasn't included. We have eaten at Orso many times and always love it. Always excellent food, service and ambiance. Last night we ate there for Valentine's dinner, and it was the best so far, from the rose petals on the tables, to our wonderful server (Shawna, I believe), all the way to the huge laugh we had over the gigantic piece of cake for dessert . And best of all, when I asked about vegan options, I was amazed at how accommodating our server was and at the quality of meal I received (seared tofu on kale--delicious!).
Our anniversary was celebrated here tonight. Our waiter was superb! Enjoyed the atmosphere, food and wonderful customer service. We will definitely be back. Thanks to your wonderful staff for making our night :)
My experience at Orso's this evening was not a pleasant one. We chose this venue for its atmosphere, fine food and great service. Tonight, we got the atmosphere and nothing more. Our server was off serving others all night, he was not present at our table much. He also displayed an attitude I did not appreciate. The food? I ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi. It was very romantic upstairs and Myla our server was fabulous her suggestions were wonderful! Perfect way to celebrate our recent engagement! Our food was excellent kudos to the chef! Highly recommend it for a special night out!
