Mercy doesn't have the expertise or technology to identify prostate cancer in this day and age. Dr A still believes 3T MRI Fusion Guided Biopsy is "unproven". After 2 negative biopsies I chose to get a 3T MRI elsewhere and sure enough there is a nodule. Don't "wait and see". Washington Regional has modern technology. Ask for a referral to Ozark Urology. Modern 4K score blood test, fusion MRI biopsy, Di Vinci assisted surgery... Mercy needs to step up in the area of Prostate Cancer ID.
I chose Dr Aguilar-Guzman after having a second bout of kidney stones. The ER recommended a urologist for future preventive care. I was told to bring the kidney stone so they could test it which I did. The doctor dismissed that as ridiculous! He was impatient, curt, apathetic and rushed with the visit. When we also told him the clinic wasn't very clean and he didn't care! Would NOT recommend!
He didn't want to answer my questions regarding test results. He said there was no point in explaining things that didn't need immediate follow up. He then got frustrated when I kept asking questions because I didn't understand the test results and what follow up was required. Told me to come back in a year to see if anything had changed and he would decide if further discussions were necessary. Made me feel as if my concerns and questions were not valid.
Very poor bedside manner, abrupt and terse. No sense of warmth or concern. Offered little to no constructive information. Prescribed a high-risk Rx with only a possible 10% positive result, so on advice of another physician discontinued it.
Poor bedside manner. Wants you to come in and see him just for follow up labs. He had trouble converting teaspoons to mg.
This clinic does a very poor job of scheduling appointments and surgeries with ease. They have made my experience extremely frustrating by telling me they would return phone calls and never doing so. I tried for 3 months to get my sons surgery scheduled. After 4 attempts every 2-3 weeks of waiting for a mailed letter with date/time, I have given up. They simply have not and will not get on the ball about getting him on the schedule. Take your business elsewhere, the patient should be a priority.
