My wife is 83 and had a cancerous tumor removed. His nurse and staff caused us unnecessary pain and discomfort. His nurse made an appointment for us for surgery two weeks after she was operated on and when we arrived at the hospital they said it was a mistake. We traveled 50 miles for the appointment because we could not understand them on the phone. Doctor A said, "what do you want mr to do? He needs to get a new nurse and train his staff to be sensitive to those who are hard of hearing.
DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT NO HELP AND TO BE VERBALLY ABUSED BY HIM. He was hateful, kept saying he couldn’t help and said we needed to go to someone else. Basically told me he didn’t want to mess with me and sent me on my way.
Nurse was wonderful! Doctor was hateful. Didn’t offer any help whatsoever. Asked why I had a caregiver and clearly didn’t approve of my answer. When I asked questions, his response was “well I can’t help you. You’ll have to go see someone else.” Was in the clinic for an hour and a half and left with absolutely no information. He was only in the room maybe 10 minutes total. Very bad bedside manners. Will not be back and do NOT recommend.
Dr. Aguilar has treated me for several years for high PSA and we have been watching very closely. He is a professional, conservative and though in his exam, analysis and advise. When cancer did show up in my prostrate Dr. Aguilar walked me through all my options and preformed my surgery. He warned me of all the side effects that can occur from removing my prostrate but I have had little to no side effects and I attribute that to Dr. Aguilar being an excellent surgeon. I had multiple large kidney stones that could not pass and couldn’t be broken up with lithotripsy. Dr Aguilar operated on me and I have no doubt he is the best of the best! I have no idea why he has the low ratings on here, because he is one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. Very friendly and kind, excellent bedside manner, excellent level of concern and care. Customer service is horrible! I waited 3 months to get insurance approval for a procedure only to be told they don't do it!!! Are you kidding me?? They never return calls either!
My son was referred to Dr. Aguilar and he had come recommended. Let me just say we won’t return. He wouldn’t listen to my answers when he asked a question. Rushed through the exam (after being called back 45 minutes late). Completely insulted me for our choice to homeschool. He had some bad side effects from some meds that he prescribed him previously. He scoffed at me that it wasn’t related and suggested my son go through psych testing instead. Funny, as soon as we stopped the meds he was fine.
Was highly recommended, still in ongoing treatment. Undecided on my opinion except for total agreement with curt, businesslike and impatient w my questions. Felt like a bother to even ask for details or explanation. In retrospect would choose different but had no way of knowing what he was like. Office staff was very sweet and helpful though.
Was told procedure had to be done in hospital. Had “MyMercy” correspondence while on vacation & said to schedule it. After 2 phone calls & my primary physician’s office calling them & Aguilar’s office saying they’d call Fri, & still no call for procedure that I was told would be tentatively the following Monday....., I want a different doctor. No confidence anymore. I was in pain off & on & the initial symptom was blood. Dr. said it was important to find out why but the office evidently doesn’t
