GREAT food. Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Will never come here again. I'm here for work all the way from Michigan and heard how delicious the food was but like I said ... TERRIBLE service. Rude waiters. Terrible useless manager. It's 2017 not 1950 get with the program.
My last visit was on 1/6/17. The food and service has improved. The four visits have been very poor. It always seems like their out of Prime Rib, by 5:30 pm. If your out that early. Your not preparing enough. Back in Jan. of 2013. I ordered the prime rib. It tasted very good. It was served to me on a cracked plate, assuming from usage and dish washing, etc. When I brought it to the servers attention, that the Asju sauce was leaking from the bottom of the plate. Just the best food in San Jose! New years day must! Party of eight and prob 5 ordered veal. I ordered fettuccine w/ham and peas. Love the old school waiters....really don't come around much....don't try to have conversations with table. Definitely do not rush you out....you have to ask for your bill. If you are not in a hurry and you have time to sit down and just take a deep breath and enjoy some delicious food this is a place for you. I have never met a staff so rude in my life! Went last night for NYE and the host and waiters were snobs. Even the bartender was a jerk. When I asked for water, he gave me a dirty look. Horrible! I use to eat there all the time and I will never go there again!
Food is good but the price is a bit too much for what you get
Calimari strip appitizer & calimari steak entree with ravioli with just butter. Boyfriend got Veal Sac with mushrooms. Everything was awesome! Sebastian was our server and he deserves a raise; he was on the ball. It was busy (New Year's Eve) and everything moved like a well oiled machine!
If you love a consistant menu, with specialties served by Professional Servers who have obviously been with Original Joe's since the dawn of time, then this is the joint for you. I've made it a point to bring my friends, family, potential clients and yes, even a potential suitor or two to this world-class restaurant.
