We had dinner there last night for the first time and it was everything we exspected and more.
Good food for a more than reasonable price. Plus their portions are huge. Best seafood in NE Portland.
Best fish and chips anywhere. That is no exaggeration. Halibut, cod, salmon, catfish, sometimes marlin or ahi, and others. Two big things stand out: Dave is the best fish buyer anywhere, 100% hands on. And his batter is incredible, always very thin, it brings out, rather than masks, the flavor of the fish. He uses the healthiest, low saturated fat cooking oil available, always fresh and clean. Excellent chowder, too.

Fell in love with Dave, and Halibut's, upon my first bite of Ahi...Always take a tureen of clam chowder home...Can't be beat!...The only thing I miss is Da Blues!
