Just the best here! This is of my top 3 restaurants! The wait staff couldn't be better. I have never been up to the sushi bar, but from what I have seen from a distance it looks like a blast. The food is amazing as well. I first went for lunch in 2003 and have been hooked ever since. I have never had a wait here either, I think it is because most people don't know about it or don't like sushi. Great sushi, great family atmosphere It's great to be able to get good sushi right here in Round Rock. The wait staff are just lovely. You can tell it's family run. We always feel so welcome. The sushi is really good. Not such fancy presentation as you might get elsewhere but tastes wonderful. I wish they would cut the sashimi in bigger chunks though - it's sooo good! This restaurant has truly lowered our awareness of disgust. Weak service. Food just so so but the price is ridiculously high! the service was always slow. Never been in a more disappointing restaurant before. We'll never come back!
Set the bar REALLY high! – My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years. It's where I first learned how to use chopsticks! They gave me "training" ones my first visit! LOL! Best place ever! – I have been going to Origami for over 2 years now, almost weekly. I am always more than satisfied with the service, the food and the atmosphere. When you eat at a traditional Japanese rest. you need to have patience. This is not fast food- if you want that- there is a McD's in the parking lot. If they are busy- be prepared to wait for your food like an adult- as it is all made fresh, by hand and in the order the tickets are submitted. Best Sushi in Austin Area – I've been eating here for the last 6 years and the quality of the food has always been excellent. Whether it's from the kitchen or the sushi bar, it is regularly better than other sushi bars like Musashino and Uchi. I see other reviewers complaining about the serving size/price or an automatic tip. I've eaten at many sushi bars all over the Austin area as well as other states. Best Sushi in Round Rock – Dont let the strip mall location turn you off, this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the Austin area. I have eaten here many times over the last few years and rarely have I not been happy with the experience. The sushi is fresh and the decor is very warm. Seating at the bar, regular tables or on the floor if you want the traditional feel. Good selection of rolls if thats your thing. For those that want cheap, try going for lunch.
this is the real thing, go here! – recently told to check out this place in (of all places) round rock. this is THE BEST SUSHI outside of sticking your face in the ocean. i travel to japan frequently for business and can say this place must have smuggled back some talent. they have people who actually speak japanese and know the food! i found the prices were comparable to others in austin. the service was good and very friendly. went to another place last week called beluga just to see if this round rock thing was a fluke...... read more
