Nothing beats the Farmer's Market on a sunny Saturday SF morning. The free fruit tastings, the yummy brunch choices both inside and out...and my favorite vendors selling their treats...I just love it.
Get here early on Saturday, watch the market come alive in front of your eyes, you locals are so effing lucky you have no idea, I would kill for this quality, the quantity, the diversity of this market to be anywhere within a 50 mile radius in south florida. be grateful frisco natives!
I live a good 30 minutes away but I love driving to San Francisco for the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. My first visit was solely for the purpose of picking up some oysters from the Hog's Island Oyster stand. But as soon as I got there I knew I would be back.
This is one of the best places to get some good local foods and flowers. Most of the places give you samples to try so you know what your buying. It's usually always crowded so making your way through there is a little difficult.
Love the Farmer's Market. The cost is way too high for a lot of the produce and items overall. Anything marked "organic" you can guarantee that it will be overpriced. I do love the food stalls for breakfast and/or lunch. My favorites purchases are the Garlic Quark, Prather Ranch Hot beef sticks, Bread of course and Mastelli's. Oh yeah, and the flower guy out back rocks too!
