As I'm sure most are, I had some anxiety about having back surgery at a day surgical center. I had been in significant pain for five months and knew the reputation of Dr. Tatsumi and his team, so trusting Dr. Tatsumi, I went ahead and scheduled. Any anxiety I had was utterly unfounded. My wife has been a patient of Doctor Tatsumi's the last several months for both her lower back and neck. My wife and I have been very impressed with his level of expertise, candidness and bedside manner. He is very personable and takes the time to answer any questions you may have, including getting us in for an appointment whenever we need (often double booking himself). I was in a big pain, particularly my right buttoc and leg was in a worst situtaion and changed to sciatica. However, the surgery was my last option, and I had to got steroid injection which gives only a temporary pain relief. After I decided the surgery, Dr Tasumi did my surgery in a very amazing way. I have been almost three weeks now since I got the surgery. My 90 percent pain has gone away now except there is still some numbness on my right foot. Incompetent- I'm not sure anyone there can read. Communication is slow, everyone seems annoyed all the time. I have attempted to get paperwork from them numerous times and they can't seem to fill out pre-set boxes on a form- that an 8 year old could manage. It's almost scary the level of stupid I'm experiencing with them.
Idk if they have all the same staff having the same issues as described in older reviews, or new staff who have the same problems, but what a miserable, upsetting experience dealing with the female office staff at OSC. Car accident 8/11 & in pain every day since. cervical MRI 9/18, reviewed results w/chiro Fri 9/20. herniation at c4 & compression at c6 w/impingement & exposed nerve at several levels. he wanted me to see Dr Tatsumi bc of his expertise & conservative approach to surgery.
