Spread across 115 acres and stretching a little over one mile, Orchard Beach is a man-made beach located in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. It was created on Long Island Sound by Parks Commissioner Robert Moses during the 1930s. It is regarded as 'The Riviera' of New York and is divided into 13 sections including the beach, a hexagonal promenade, central pavilion, playgrounds, picnic areas, a parking lot and 26 courts for various ball games. During summer this place is frequented by sunbathers and beach sport enthusiasts.

A few years ago used to be good , now is garbage. Looks dirty and the police don’t put to much attention , there’s drunked people everywhere.

I love the Sunday’s music at the 5 spot, the special Orquestra event Ruben JR. Diaz brings. Beside this beautiful people that comes to share their love and entertainments.
