Our son ended up here during a psychotic break that brought him to LA— a long way from our home in Oregon. My recently homeless son has a mental illness and was brought in by the critical assessment team. He was supposed to of been on a 72 hr hold. He was released back onto the street within 12 hours, back at my doorstep displaying the same psychosis. Not sure if they even read the CAT team report. No phone call as his emergency contact or follow up. Totally unacceptable!
They won't even give me access to my own medical record. What a bunch of liars. The addresses are nearly always wrong and they switch the name of the place to confuse people. If you want proper treatment for a loved one don't bring them here.
There is a very misogynistic doctor here who refuses to tell you anything about your treatment or why he is keeping you. He forms judgment on how you treat him during your psychiatric problems and holds grudges against you regardless of why you act a certain way during your regression of trauma. Be very careful with this doctor. He works the night shift and I'm sure the company is aware, they released me as soon as I requested to speak with a patient's rights advocate. Be wary.
