This place is a nightm@re. – They gave me trial lenses, then sold me lenses of the wrong size and prescription. On the first day with the new lenses I stopped into the store and asked to for a trial lens in order to be able complete my 40 mile commute. They refused, I drove home with one eye closed, as I had to pick up my children from school, taking the train was not an option. This place is a total scam – went to get my contact lenses prescription, and usually the whole procedure + the lense prescription is covered by insurance. These guys told me I have to pay a "fitting fee" for god knows what. When i refused to pay they said they will cover the whole thing. From that time on i didn't have a good feeling about the whole thing. Poor Quality/ Wrong Prescription/ Wasted Money – One of the most aggravating eyewear experiences in my life. Exam was rushed. Frames was damaged when I got them. Promised anti-glare coat and tint was left off. Sent glasses back four times, once came back with chip in one lens. Owner said, well they have been handled so many times. What? An optical lab that can't competently handle glasses?!? I still have problems with glare and reading. horrible experiences – the optometrist is rude, I have to agree with the other reviews. I mistakenly left my glasses there after an eye excam, when I returned they INSISTED that they were not there. I am now out a $600 pair of glasses because they refuse to return them to me. I can't make sense of this, but trust me, I walked out with a new pair of contacts and forgot the glasses I came in with and have never seen them again. This place is shady at best.
Unbeatable Service! – My coworker highly recommended this optical store to me. I made my way down to the Wall Street area and was totally satisfied with the service. The Optometrist did not rush me as someone said above; I got a contact lens fitting, complained about some discomfort and I tried a new pair that were perfect. Frighteningly bad time and time again – Everyone at this business is completely incompetent and shockingly rude and unhelpful. Every interaction at this place has been a nightmare. As just one example, when I ordered my contacts online from a very reputable company, my order was delayed for over 1 week because Optical Insight kept on hanging up on them. Awful, not recommended – Optical Insight double-booked eye appointments with the single optician working on the premises, forcing me to wait for 20 minutes while they performed 2 other eye exams, only to get the shortest, most rushed eye exam I've ever experienced--in and out in a matter of minutes. And their eye chart was smudged, making it impossible to get a clear reading of the final lines on the exam. Try Anywhere Else – 48 hour turnaround became 1 week (and counting). No call to update customer of status. Manager not concerned about customer service, just with ringing up another sale. No Refunds offered at this store. Save yourself the headache and avoid Optical Insights. FYI, this location uses Perfect Optical Labs. Promised delivery times are a moot point, so make sure the eyecare specialist you choose does not use the above lab.
