I tried to donate blood today at my University and I got all the way to them putting the needle in my arm. They had a new guy try to get my vein. No blood was coming out after the snapped the wire to go into the baggie. So a second guy tried moving the needle around 3 times. Then a third guy tried the same. Needless to say they didn't get any blood. My arm is bruised and bleeding still 5 hours later and I'm pretty sure my vein is a mess from them poking around. So much for trying to do a good deed.
Staff was not friendly. Ladies were unprofessional and I would never donate to One Blood. Staff didn't even say sorry after I was there on the bus for 2 hours and unable to donate because my iron count missed by by 2 points, not even a t-shirt for trying to give and save lives!!!

I donated whole blood at the Thomasville, GA branch today. It wasn’t quite a milestone donation. Today’s donation made 19 gallons. All donations have been either Whole Blood or Red Blood Cell donations. I’m proud to be a donor at OneBlood.
I just hit my one-gallon mark! The staff are always professional, yet friendly and kind to donors and each other. I’ll keep coming back!

The staff at every donation site I've gone to are very friendly and professional. it also helps that in addition to helping to save lives you can often receive a fantastic gift for donating, such as movie vouchers, food vouchers, t-shirts & hats.
I donated blood today and Nurse Angela was so sweet and was very attentive. After the donation, I got dizzy but she made sure I was feeling better before I left. She is very good with a needle and the whole experience was very nice. One bloods mission is very admirable and I will be going back as soon as I can.
This morning I Attended a Sickle Cell Awareness Breakfast In Lakeland. For years I have tried to give blood. Being anemic it’s been hard. Having a son with Sickle Cell, who receives monthly blood transfusions I have always understood the importance of giving blood. And having a whom is a Multi Gallon giver.
