my husband and I had appointments today at 1:30 and 2:00. They are running so far behind, I didn't get in the bus until 2:15. My husband waited until 3:00 then they let someone with a later appointment in before him so we left without him donating. And don't try to say 'because COVID' because that's not it. The problem is the staff having absolutely no urgency and taking breaks to eat pizza while there is noone in chairs donating. Then not even attempting to keep people in order of appointment. You have the most wonderful staff! We donated today in Greensboro at Red Robin! We travelled 45 minutes to donate and when we arrived they were booked solid. The staff worked diligently to work us in. The staff was very polite and friendly! The staff also kept a check on my child who was unable to donate. Thank you!!

I had made an appointment to donate blood today. I went in the morning but I was not allowed to because the staff people said I had visited Peru on February 2019 for two weeks and, because of hypothetical malaria concerns, if I wanted to donate I had to wait 3 years (until February 2022). However, I think that this is is in error because the oneblood FAQ explicitly states that the international malaria deferral policy is only for 3 months, not 3 years. So, I should be eligible to donate blood. I do not have malaria. Also, I ... read more
