One Medical usually has fantastic providers. I was disappointed when Dr. Akasaka shut me down and refused to hear all my symptoms. I understand appointments are short, but she could have listened for five minutes to the sum of my symptoms. Instead she cut me off mid-sentence and focused on one issue. I felt incredibly dismissed, and unheard. A doctor who is only interested in one puzzle piece is not an efficient or solid doctor.
They charge an arm and a leg and do not help with diagnosis. Had to go elsewhere to see a specialist. The bills are comparable to urgent care even after being in network.
I have worked in healthcare for the last 13 years, and I have never spoken with so many incompetent people as I have while trying to request medical records from this place. Mind you a STAT request that should have been sent immediately for continuity of care. Everyone I spoke with gave me different instructions, fax numbers and explained their protocols for obtaining records differently. A complete mess.
