Overrated and pricey! – Way overrated. Crust had charred areas. It was like crunching on charcoal, and also very pricey. I can find better elsewhere.
Good Neopolitan Pizza – Every time I visit my parents in Dallas from NYC we go to Olivella's. It's one of the few places that really reminds me of the quality and authentic atmosphere one regularly enjoys in New York and various European cities. The portion sizes are appropriately small, probably something unusual around here as most everything else seems super-sized. Fresh ingredients and nice recipe truly reminiscent of real Neo pizza. Chucky Olivella Cheese – This is the SMU/ CHUCKY CHEESE of the area...awful! No one running the place on a Saturday night was over 18. The cook wipes his sweat on his hands and on his apron and his sidekick picks his nose and cuts the pizzas...disgusting. The guy "in the back" was really scary and very weird and dirty...and ALL this for $70. for 2 people. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Where are the owners on a Saturday night? This is such a bad Mom & Pop operation.

Their pizzas are very rustic so they don't travel well. They are best eaten there. The staff is young and the quality of the service is ei... read more
Named after a famed New York pizza family, this pizzeria near SMU specializes in Neopolitan style thin crusts and antipasti. – In Short This way-too-tiny pizza joint may be a tad bigger than the wood fired pizza oven it houses. With just eight tables and a short counter space, there isn't much elbow room between diners. Pizzas arrive on tall stand to bunk on top of a second dish like cheese and meat antipasti or Caprese salad. Signature pizza, San Daniele is topped with imported prosciutto and arugula. Despite long waits, yo... read more
